早上好!

Dear teachers and students, Good morning!

今天，我们在国旗下讲话的主题是《勿忘国耻》。昨天是“九一八”纪念日，相信我们很多同学都在新闻上看到了关于纪念“九一八”的报道。

Today, the theme of our speech under the national flag is "Do not forget the National Shame". Yesterday was the "September 18^th incident" anniversary, I believe many of our students have seen on the news about the commemoration of the "September 18^th  incident" report.

在1931年9月18日的深夜，日本关东军轰炸了我国东北，占领了沈阳城，半年之后，占领了东北三省。这就是震惊中外的“九一八事变”，是日本侵略中国的开始，而9月18日，也成为了我们中华民族不能忘记的国耻日。

In the night of September 18^th , 1931, the Japanese Army bombed the northeast of China, occupied Shenyang City, half a year later, occupied the three provinces in the northeast. This is the "September 18 incident", which is the beginning of the Japanese invasion of China.

面对日本侵略者，中国各族人民同仇敌忾、共赴国难，无数先烈以血肉之躯，与日本侵略者进行了气壮山河的斗争。经过14年艰苦卓绝的斗争，终于在1945年8月15日迎来了抗日战争的最后胜利。

When we met the Japanese invaders, we Chinese people united together, and fought them for 14 years, and the Anti-Japanese War was finally won on August 15, 1945.

今天，我们在国旗下回顾这段历史，不仅要铭记这段耻辱的历史，更应该把中华民族的伟大复兴当己任。

Today, we review this period of history under the national flag. We should not only remember this shameful history, but also learn to be responsible students.

今天，是我们新学期返校后第一次在学校举行升旗仪式，不容易！

Today, is the first time after our new semester back to school to hold the flag ceremony in the school, which is not easy!

自从2019年底新冠疫情爆发以来，人们的工作、学习、生活都受到了不同程度的影响。而中国人民从未放弃与新冠的斗争！

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 at the end of 2019, people's work, study and life have been affected. And the Chinese people have never given up the fight against COVID-19!

也正是如此，我们才能平安返校。同学们，梁启超先生在《少年中国说》中写道：“今日之责任，不在他人，而全在我少年”。现在的我们正在为中华民族的伟大复兴作知识的积累。

That's how we get back to school safely. Professor Liang Qichao said, Today's responsibility lies with the young.  So now we are studying for our Chinese nation.

让我们珍惜时光，好好学习，将来为民族的复兴贡献自己的力量！

Let us cherish the time, study well, and contribute our strength to our nation!
